Sprue bushings, machine nozzle filters and sprue-separation systems for clearly defined melt flow in injection moulds. Reduces sprue waste, ensures consistent gate quality and short cycle times.
With the runner selector the cold runner sprue can be blocked from the mould parting line or its desired alignment can be adjusted.
This is done by reinserting the treaded part after setting the desired flow channel direction or locking it in a 90, 180 or 270° position in the intended receptacle of the runner selector body. The functional part then remains blocked in the set position.
All runner selectors have an H7 bore for using an ejector pin Ø 5 mm as an ejection aid for the cold runner.
The technical design of this runner selector corresponds to the solution S4120/…, but as a variant it also offers a cooling option for the ejector pin in the runner selector body, so that less heat is transferred from the mould via the ejector to the cold runner sprue area.
The circumferential recess is suitable for cooling water flows up to Ø 8 mm. Sealing is via 2 integrated O-rings.
