AH 230 Band heaters, cast aluminium or brass
Application areas: Heating of cylindrical tools, extrusion cylinders and for other industrial heating applications. Construction: Electrical tubular heating element cast in aluminium. The contact surface is mechanically machined for good heat transfer. Cylinder heating elements are made in half-shells whereby the fixing is made with clamping bands or cast clamping brackets. Cast aluminium heating elements are particularly suitable for locations in which moisture or condensate cannot be excluded, or in areas in which severe mechanical loading (e.g. caused by frequent assembly and disassembly) is present. They guarantee an even heat distribution. Also available with cooling fins for air cooling of extrusion cylinders, or with built in cooling tubes for water or oil. Electrical power supply via contact fittings (plug) up to 16 A/250 V, cable terminal boxes with ceramic terminal block or permanently fixed connection-cable. Technical specification: Mat. heating element: heating spiral, magnesium oxide-insulated (tubular heating element) Mat. enclosure: cast aluminium or brass Voltage: according to specification Heating capacity: max. 6 W/cm², related to the built in tubular heating element Operating Temperature heating element max.: 350 °C aluminium / 450 °C brass Wall thickness min.: 15 mm Protection class: IP 30 (For versions with connection box: IP54)

BK 230 Flat heaters, cast aluminium or brass
Application areas: Heating of tools and moulds on plastic processing machines and other industrial heating applications. Construction: Electrical tubular heating element cast in aluminium or brass. The contact surface is machined for good heat transfer. Cast aluminium / brass heating elements are particularly suitable for locations in which moisture or condensate cannot be excluded, or in areas in which severe mechanical loading (e.g. caused by frequent assembly and disassembly) is present. They guarantee an even heat distribution. Implementation types: Drill holes can be provided for fixing the heater unit. Can be supplied with sensor bores, thermal brackets and notches as far as technically possible due to dimensions. Electrical power supply via contact fittings (plug) up to 16 A/250 V, cable terminal boxes with ceramic terminal block or permanently fixed connection-cable. Technical specification: Mat. heating element: heating spiral, magnesium oxide-insulated (tubular heating element) Mat. enclosure: cast aluminium or brass Voltage: according to specification Heating capacity: max. 6 W/cm², related to the built in tubular heating element Operating Temperature heating element max.:  350 °C for aluminium, 450 °C for brass Wall thickness min.: 15 mm Protection class: IP 30 (For versions with connection box: IP54)
